Leveraging AI for localization

Following the success of our AI pilot for Japanese and Korean, our aim in 2024 is to continue improving cost efficiency and time-to-market by leveraging AI technologies, while also working closely with our vendors and incorporating human post-editing to ensure the best output and translation quality. portfolio.​

Localization opportunities

Analytics confirm that localizing property pages helps to increase booking conversions. On this premise, we defined a framework to identify translation opportunities based on traffic. During Q1, 16 hotels took action by adding 22 languages. These newly added languages generated almost 292K EUR in revenue during Q1. The return is almost 24 times of the investment.

China project

The JinJiang Radisson Hotel Miniprogram has now officially launched on the WeChat Market. All Radisson hotels can be booked through the miniprogram. Our team is preparing content assets for 35 Jin Jiang hotels in English and Simplified Chinese. These assets will enable us to onboard the Jin Jiang hotels onto the Radisson Hotels brand website, making them bookable. This project also includes adding 15 new destinations within China to our destination pages.

AI Pilot: Japanese and Korean

Unlocking efficiency and quality with AI Pilot advantage​. Applying machine translation significantly speeds up the overall translation process and reduces translation costs. With up to 24K 57.7% per language compared to Hebrew and 19K 62.98% to Vietnamese, when compared to onboarding other languages into our portfolio.

New language available: Thai

Our 33rd language is now live! Our extensive language portfolio now includes also Thai, launched at the end of May. This language helps us tap into local markets and better align with RHG's roadmap in SEAP, boosting online visibility and enhacing user experience from our Thai guests while increasing reservations and booking revenue.

Coming soon: Indonesian Bahasa

We are currently assessing Indonesian Bahasa as the next language to join our portfolio, looking into different translation engines and localization providers to find the best fit for our content in this language and to offer an optimal booking experience for our guests in Indonesia.

With over 70 million speakers, Thai is the newest language added to our website and app

From Q2 2024, all properties are now bookable in Thai, while hotels in Thailand have full site translations available to increase engagement, enhance user experience and drive customer loyalty, ultimately boosting reservations and booking revenue.
