Some highlights of the latest digital releases of our website and app
Personal Information Protector Law - New China PIPL
It has been reached the compliance with the new Chinese Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL). A new mandatory checkbox is requested throughout all the necessary touchpoints:
- Checkout Page
- Online Check-in Check-out Processes
- Radisson Rewards Enrolments
- Claim Submission
- Newsletter Opt-ins
- Users selecting China as their country of residence will be requested to accept the new privacy policy and the consent will be stored in the system.
The completion of this project establishes RHG as amenable to the new regulations!
New Content Attributes: Service Icons and Brand Portfolio
Radissonhotels.com is fully ready to welcome the new Jin Jiang brands that have been recently added as part of our brand portfolio! Both Golden Tulip and Jin Jiang identity are available all over the website, including Online Meetings and Events Booking Tool (OMBT).
Other Enhancements and Bug Fixes Include:
- Fixed: OMBT Bedroom Date Validation
- We've corrected an issue in the Online Meeting & Events Booking Tool (OMBT) where bedroom booking dates could be selected outside the event date. The system now properly validates and restricts date selections, preventing invalid bookings and improving the user experience.

- Fixed: Mobile Popular Destinations Arrows
- We've resolved the display issue where arrows in the "Popular Destinations" section were broken on mobile. They now appear correctly, enhancing navigation.

- E-Learning for B2B Members
- Pending activation, work in progress with Apple Tree. Some B2B members accessing their private are will see a banner redirecting to Radisson Rewards e-learning, a dedicated training platform. Here’s a preview of what it would look like!
New China PIPL
Following the web release, the new PIPL has also been implemented in all the App touchpoints:
- For users selecting China (either via Akamai IP or manual selection) as their country of residence, a new mandatory checkbox is now shown to request and store consent (in EMMA) for the processing of personal data.
- This checkbox is displayed in the following App pages: Join-form, Checkout and webview pages (OCI, OCO, CSA).
Radisson Rewards for Employees (Web & App)
This release also includes all necessary developments to support the Radisson Rewards for Employees project!
As part of this initiative, a new Radisson Rewards member type, “employee,” has been created. This will allow RHG employees to join the program and enjoy their member benefits, including direct visibility of corporate rates in the booking funnel — without the need to use a promocode.
Bug Fixes and Performance Enhancements
Other AM Fixes Include:
- Telemetry has been enabled for all App endpoints for Akamai MBP, allowing the team to monitor and detect bots/malicious traffic.
- Fixed navigation and redirection bugs on Deals and DAP pages. For example, the app no longer closes when using the Android system back arrow from the Deals page.
- Calendars are now localized in Japanese, Korean, Simpl. Chinese and Traditional Chinese showing the accurate format of [number]month [number]day - e.g. 4月20日 20th of April.
- Hotel brand logo sizes have been standardized across the whole App preventing future issues in the code.
Android Fixes:
- Login issue resolved: Fixed a bug where an automatic space added after punctuation in the password field made the password invalid without clear feedback.
- "Read more" CTA added to hotel offers so full CMS-contributed content can now be viewed.
- Back arrow restored in the DAP page for better navigation.
iOS Fixes:
- Missing RHG logo restored on the sign-in page.
